We are T-Two Months to National Falls Prevention Awareness Month 2024. Here are some important things you should know to prepare for your events this year:

• Check out our NFPAW Kick Off Call from July 2024! This call features speakers from APTA Geriatrics SIGs and major task forces on the theme of the 5Ms of Geriatric Care. This one-hour presentation shares many important resources.
• The National Council on Aging (NCOA) has amazing resources for both professionals and the community.
• CDC has added several items to its current STEADI materials, including success stories and other multi-media informational materials.

Be on the lookout for new BF SIG deliverables coming your way, including:

• Balance and Falls in Older Adults with Neurologic Populations (toolkit)
• Multi-Speciality Management of Balance and Falls in PT Professionals (toolkit)
• Advocacy Campaign featuring pre-packed PowerPoints for various audiences, which you can provide to your community co-workers and local health systems!
