APTA Capitol Hill Day – July 15, 2025 – Was a Success!

Jul 25, 2025

As we’ve been telling you for the last several weeks, nearly 500 PTs and PTAs were on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. on July 15, 2025, to advocate for legislative action on important physical therapy issues, including several members of the Joint Governmental Affairs Committee (JGAC) of APTA Home Health and APTA Geriatrics.

Members included: Eva Norman (FL), Ellen Strunk and Amy Smith (AL), Phil Goldsmith (PA), Jamie Kuettel and Silke Mildenberger (AZ), Beth Black (NM), and Jeremy Foster (MS), and we made over 20 visits with our respective Senators and Congressional Representatives.

Did you take action?  If you haven’t yet, there is still time!  Just click the link to Take Action!

Tell them you support our issues!  You can make it even more impactful by giving examples of how your patients will be negatively affected if these important legislative bills are not passed.  You can even ask your patients to get involved, by giving them the link to the Patient Action Center,
