APTA Geriatrics Continuing Education
We have significant continuing education opportunities that are available to members and non-members. Earn CEUs while learning more about areas physical therapy that apply to you and your practice. Our continuing education is split into two sections: Journal Club and Webinars.
Journal Club
APTA Geriatrics Journal Club is an interactive, online forum for geriatric physical therapists seeking a clinician-friendly venue for learning about and discussing the clinical implications of recent geriatric rehabilitation research.
• Prior to the online event, clinicians read a selected article from the Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy and an associated case study that illustrates how the study findings might be applied in clinical practice.
• During the 90-minute event, one of the study authors will present their study, with an emphasis on the clinical motivation for, and the clinical application/impact of their findings. The clinician case study author will also present to discuss the clinical application of the study findings as described in the case study. Time is allocated for audience questions at the end.
• Participants may submit questions in advance, or during the event.
• All APTA Geriatrics members are invited to attend. There is no charge for this event.
Webinars
We host bi-weekly webinars that provide interactive sessions with specific learning objectives. These webinars are presented by industry experts and are an excellent way to advance your education and earn CEUs.
