Description

Lifestyle Medicine and the Aging Adult - Part 2

Lifestyle medicine uses the power of the everyday choices we make and daily actions we take in the areas of nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, social connection, and avoidance of risky substances to optimize our health. Lifestyle medicine, when delivered with the health coach approach, can improve physical therapy outcomes and decrease the cost of healthcare for the aging adult. Join us to learn more about lifestyle medicine and how you can apply the principles of health coaching in your practice to benefit the aging adult.

  1. Explain how lifestyle medicine with health coaching can improve rehabilitation outcomes and decrease health care costs
  2. Summarize the clinical models for health coaching application in the physical therapy setting
